JAMMU, Feb 10: In interesting matches of Pool A at KK Hakku Hockey Stadium here, Srinagar defeated Ganderbal, Ananatnag outplayed Rajouri, Hiranagar trounced Budgam while Jammu Blue thrashed Shopian in the ongoing Hockey J&K UT championship, 2020, commenced today.
In the first match, Srinagar outplayed Ganderbal by 12 goals to 0, wherein Harpreet scored two goals in 4th and11th minutes, Balbir Singh Captain of the team scored 5 goals in 10th, 39th, 42nd, 43rd, and 70th minutes, Arun Preet Singh scored 3 goals in 27th, 60th and 69th minutes while Saleem Nissar scored goal in 61st minute of the game for Srinagar.
In 2nd pool match Ananatnag defeated Rajouri with a margin of the 5 goals to 0. Zahid scored 2 goals in 1st and 22nd minutes, Farooq scored two goals in 35th and 37th minutes whereas Rayees scored one goal in 11th minutes of the game.
In 3rd match, Hiranagar trounced Budgam by 13 goal to 0. Avinash Singh scored 2 goals in 6th & 52nd minutes, Shiv Singh Jamwal scored 3 goals in 7th, 40th, 53rd minutes, Prashant Kumar scored goal in 10th minute, Shameshwar Singh scored 2 goals in 11th and 55th minutes, Sandeep Singh scored in 12th and 31st minutes, Suraj Singh scored goals in 44th and 53rd minutes of the game for Hiranagar.
In the 4th match of the day was played wonderful by Jammu Blue by a margin of 11 goals to 1 by defeating Shopian. Suraj Malik scored 2 goals in 3rd and 45th minutes, Magan scored 5 goals in 5th, 10th, 33rd, 55th and 56th minutes, Harsh Vaid scored in 6th minute, Sarabjit scored 3 goals in 26th, 58th and 60th minutes whereas Balmeet Singh scored in 27th minutes of the game for Jammu Blue.
The matches were played under the supervision of the umpires included Brajesh Kumar, Sunil Kumar, Salim, Manish Kumar from Hockey India and Gurpreet Singh and Balmeet Singh.
