JAMMU, Nov 18: Springdales School, Barnai, Jammu celebrated its 7th Annual Day at General Zorawar Singh Auditorium on the theme ‘Envirocon’ in all its grandeur and resplendence.
Chander Mohan Gupta, Mayor Municipal Corporation Jammu graced the occasion as the chief guest while Suraj Prakash, Municipal Councillor and Mayank Raina, Internationally acclaimed Sitar and Flute Maestro were the guests of honour.
Umesh Sawhney, Member Springdales Educational Society, Nirmala Mahanna, Sahodaya President and a galaxy of Principals from various CBSE schools were the eminent guests.
Around fifty students from Balgraan School along with their teachers were also specially invited to the Function.
The programme commenced with the bouquet presentation by VK Malhotra, Chairman, Rashmi Malhotra, Vice Chairperson and Gaurav Malhotra, Director Springdales School followed by the lighting of lamp.
Shashi Kiran Bedi, Principal welcomed the dignitaries and presented the school preamble, the School Annual Report.
The school choir rendered rhythmic hymns juxtaposed with Yoga presentation offering the ceremonial welcome to the guests.
Springers enthralled the audience by presenting a kaleidoscope of dances. The young springers set the stage abuzz with their Improvisational Play ‘Santulan’ sealing every frame of stage with their luminance.
Next in line was an electrifying and sparkling solo musical rendition by the little champ Gokul Sharma, the singing star of Springdales School.
Prizes were distributed among meritorious students by the dignitaries. The chief guest appreciated the efforts of the students and the staff in putting forth an impactful show and also stating the importance of such programme which help the students learn a variety of things beyond classroom.
The programme rode to a final crescendo with a theme dance ‘We Belong to Earth’.
At the end, vote of thanks was presented by Gaurav Malhotra, Director, Springdales School.
The function culminated with the National Anthem.
The programme was organised in collaboration with Ravinder Sharma of Samooh Theatre Group and Rohit Bains was the choreographer.
