Sprawling Buds sponsors coaching camp for climbers

JAMMU, Nov 17: To continue its policy of promoting adventure activities especially sport climbing in J&K, Sprawling Buds ICSE School, Bantalab, Jammu sponsored an 11 days coaching camp from November 17 to November 27, 2017 for eight state climbers selected in the North Zone Sport Climbing team for the National Sport Climbing Competition to enable them to perform to their full potential in the national competition and win medals for the state.
It was announced by Chairman of Sprawling Buds School, Rahul Sharma while felicitating the state climbers who have brought laurels to the state by winning 18 medals including 6 Gold, 9 Silver and 3 Bronze medals in the North Zone Sport Climbing Competition held at Delhi recently.
In a simple but impressive function held in the school auditorium all the medal winners including Asma Gul, a student of Sprawling Buds ICSE School, who won 2 Gold and 1 silver medal, Shivani Charak, an international climber who bagged 2 Gold medals, Mrityunjay Sharma, another international climber who claimed 2 Gold and 1 Silver medal, Shilpa Charak who won 3 Silver medals; Arun Deep Singh and Ritesh Sharma who won 2 Silver medals each, Ambreen Fatima, Ajay Deep Singh and Samiksha Manhas who clinched a bronze medal each  were all presented gifts by the principal of the school Mrs Arti Sharma.
Prominent among others present on the occasion included General Secretary and Joint Secretary of Mountaineering Association of J&K Ram Khajuria and Shawetica Khajuria.
