JAMMU, Nov 3: To channelize the energy of the youth and promote sports activities in the border villages, 9th Battalion BSF operating in the Ghagwal Border Sector, organized Volleyball Tournament at High School Chak Dulma Ghagwal under its Civic Action Programme, today.
Ten teams of different border villages are participating in the event.
The Tournament was declared open by Joginder Singh, Sr. Superintendent of Police Samba who was the chief guest on the occasion. The Tournament will conclude on November 18, 2015.
In his address, SSP Samba complemented the BSF authorities for organizing such events for the youth of border villages and highlighted that youth is the future of the Nation and they have to use their energy in positive direction rather to indulge in Anti-Social/Anti-National activities.
Prominent citizens, local youth of the area as well as Media persons were also invited on the occasion and they also lauded the initiative taken by BSF authorities and maintained that such initiatives would definitely help in strengthening understanding in a long way as well as in mitigating the problems and suffering of youth of the area.
