JAMMU, Apr 23: Sports Week organized by KCS College of Education (Women), which had begun on April 16, 2014 concluded, here today.
Principal Prof OP Sharma, accompanied by Rajan Suri addressed the students on the concluding function and lauded the efforts of students and the Sports Committee including Sneh Khanna, Rohani Sharma, Ruchika Chib and Divya Sharma.
Prof Kamaldeep Kour, Principal Chenab College of Education was the chief guest on the occasion, who distributed prizes among the winners.
In badminton, Neha, Arti and Alka bagged first three positions, while in carom, the pair of Anuradha and Rashi bagged first place, Monika and Rohini won second spot and the third spot went to the duo of Deepali and Rifat.
In chess, Arti and Ridha emerged winners, while Neha Jamwal and Neha Sharma were runners-up and Afisha and Anchal claimed the third position.
In kho-kho, team A, team D and team F bagged first, second and third position respectively, while in table tennis, Sonam, Neha Jamwal and Afisha bagged first three positions respectively.
In tug of war, team D, team B and team H bagged first, second and third spot respectively.
Santosh Kumar, Heena Wani and Sonia Manhas bagged first, second and third position in spoon race, while in athletics Neelam, Meetu and Prem Lata/Deepika won first, second and third place respectively.
In musical chair, Anshu Sharma emerged winner, while Meenakshi claimed the runners-up spot.
