JAMMU, Oct 17: Sports Week commences at Rich Harvest School, Bari Brahmana.
The function started with unfurling of the School Flag and declaration of the meet open by the Trustee Ruchi Charak, followed by the lighting of the Torch by the school’s council.
While speaking, Ruchi Charak said that Rich Harvest School encourages the students to be more active and take part in more physical education and school sports. The school management always believes that the sports empowers youth and promotes higher self esteem. It also motivates students and enables them to earn better grades especially in schools where obtaining certain grades is a prerequisite to staying on the team, she added.
Numerous physical benefits include maintaining a healthy weight, preventing chronic diseases and learning the skills necessary to maintain a healthy lifestyle after graduating, she stated.
Charak added that such occasion is always momentous for children, adding that discipline and organization is very important in such events.
