Sports Academy at KU to train youth

SRINAGAR, June 1: The Centre for Career Planning & Counseling and Department of Physical Education and Sports jointly organized a recruitment drive with Edu Sports- India’s largest school sports/ Physical Education Company.
It has committed to train 150 youth of Jammu and Kashmir in the coming five-years. For this KU organized a first of its kind campus recruitment today.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Talat Ahmad in his interaction with the team headed by Jyoti Majmudar CEO of Edu sports said, “The impact of such an initiative is huge, mainly due to limited growth opportunities in schools for existing physical education teachers (PETs).
Prof Shabir Ahmad, Director, CCPC, KU said on this occasion that the first batch of selected candidates will be trained at the Edu Sports Academy for Coaching Excellence (EACE) for a period of 90 days.
While welcoming the team, Prof. Bashir Ahmad Khan, Director, Department of Physical Education and Sports, KU said that it is our responsibility to ensure that all children get access to a high quality physical education.
Speaking on the occasion, Jyoti majmudar CEO and Co- founder of Edu sports said, “We are very privileged to be part of this ambitious project.
