JAMMU, Nov 24: A gala annual festival was celebrated in Hermann Gmeiner School, Jammu in the school campus with gaiety and fervour. Chander Mohan Gupta, Mayor JMC , was the chief guest and Satpal Karlupia, Corporator Ward no 32 , Jammu was the guest of honour on this occasion. Besides other distinguished guests and parents a large gathering was also present.
Principal Ramesh Kumar Dhar welcomed and introduced the guests followed by welcome song.
The program began with the traditional lighting ceremony and display of attractive cultural items like folk music, group dances etc.
On this annual Festival number of stalls comprising of food stalls and fun filled games stalls were displayed. The audience enjoyed the food along with games. Camel riding remained the star attraction for children. There was exhibition of Science, Art & craft, expression and yoga also.
Earlier the prize distribution ceremony was also held. The chief guest gave away medal and certificates to students who excelled in different areas. Speaking on the occasion the chief guest praised the Management, Principal and staff for excellence in education of school. He also praised the efforts of school for providing education and equal opportunities in other areas to poor and needy children.
