RAJOURI, June 26: Wrestler Sonnu of Akhara Jalandhar lifts 10th Annual Sadda Dangal Title by overpowering Wrestler Ankit of Akhara Chandroop Delhi in a tough bout that lasted for six minutes in mud Akhara in the premises of Holy Sadda Devsthan at Remotest Village Sadda in Tehsil Koteranka of District Rajouri, here today.
The Dangal was organized by the collaborated efforts of rural masses of the area and Sadda Devsthan management committee.
Winner of the main bout Wrestler Sonu of Jalandhar got Rs 25000 as cash prize and silver Gurz while runners-up Wrestler Ankit of Delhi got Rs 16000 by Members of Management Committee of Holy Devsthan Sadda Mandi in presence of Nisha Sharma National Medallist in wrestling who was the Chief guest on the occasion while women wrestling Promoter Anu Radha Sharma was the guest of honour.
First ever Women wrestling was the main attraction of the Vishal Dangal wherein four wrestling bouts in women category were displayed in between women wrestlers Priya of Jammu and Rekha of Reasi where Priya remain victorious and got an cash prize of 2100 while Rekha the runners-up got Rs 1100.
In another bout Neelakshi of Reasi overpowered Anju of Jammu for the cash prize of 2100.
Women wrestling was greatly applauded by the rural masses especially women folk who in thousands witnessed the event.
