SRINAGAR, Oct 10: The District Srinagar Softball Championship 2025-26, organized by the District Srinagar Softball Association in collaboration with the J&K Sports Council under the aegis of the Jammu & Kashmir Softball Association, concluded at Gindun Sports Centre, Rajbagh, here today.
The Softball Warriors Club dominated the event, winning both the Senior Men’s and Senior Women’s titles. The championship witnessed enthusiastic participation across various categories. Dilbagh Singh, Incharge Gindun Sports Centre, presided over the closing ceremony as chief guest and appreciated the efforts of the organizers and players.
He urged athletes to utilize the modern sports facilities provided by the J&K Sports Council and commended Secretary Nuzhat Gul for her continued support of sports development in the UT. Shaista Wani and Mohammad Rasib were declared best athletes in the women’s and men’s categories respectively.
Winners included Softball Warriors Club clinching both Senior Men’s and Women’s titles, Friends Softball Club (Junior Girls), Young Hawks Club (Junior Boys), Tanvi Softball Academy (Sub-Junior Girls), and Al Sarwat School (Sub-Junior Boys).
