JAMMU, May 26: Sizzling and commendable performance by the young guitarists left the audience spell bound for hours together during solo and duet guitar categories competition organised on the opening of the two day “Golden Guitar Fest (GGF) Season 4” held at the auditorium of the Forest Information Centre, Bikram Chowk, here today.
The festival has been organised by Nirvana Academy in collaboration with Mindscape Educational and Environmental Trust on an environmental cum awareness theme “Plant a Tree Plant a Life”.
Different genre of music like rock, pop, jazz, regional, folk and bollywood were presented by schools, colleges and professional guitarists in the competition, which was highly appreciated by the audience.
The competition provided platform to the guitarists to express their talent and also to enhance their self confidence.
The confidence level of the participants was really surcharged, when the audience credited their performance via thundering applauses.
During the competition, the guest performance by noted guitarists Sumit Sharma and Vikas Bawa, brand face of Golden Guitar Festival Season 4 also mesmerized the audience.
The performances of the participants were adjudged by Puran Singh Wazir, Golden Guitar Awardee and Gautam Kotwal, Guitarist and Owner of Mythya Rock Band.
On the occasion, Hemu Karki, Art of Living Instructor, was the special invitee, who while speaking said that music can improve the child’s ability in learning and such talented children must be introduced to other self related activities so that they can learn the life, enrich skills to be confident and successful in future life.
Rajesh Gupta, Secretary, Mindscape Educational and Environmental Trust highlighted the importance of tree plantation. He said that they will distribute saplings among the participants on the final day of the event and also assured all possible help for such awareness campaigns.
At the end, Hitesh Badyal, President, Nirvana Academy presented vote of thanks.

Among others present were Rock Star Anmol Amla, Paramjeet Kour, Deepak Kumar, Prince Nagotra, Amit Verma, Kuldeep Kumar, Meenakshi Sharma and Nishant Vaid.
