JAMMU, May 8: Six promising Gymnasts from Jammu & Kashmir have been selected to represent the Union Territory at the upcoming Khelo India Youth Games, scheduled to be held in New Delhi from May 10 to 14.
The selected gymnasts are Muskan Rana, Manya, Jagriti Thakur, Vaibhavi Sharma, Shivangi and Prachi Sharma. All six are currently training at the Sports Council’s Gymnastics Academy in Jammu and have demonstrated great potential on national platforms.
The eight-member contingent was officially cleared by the Sports Council’s Screening Committee, which includes Baljinder Pal Singh, Divisional Sports Officer Jammu; Krupali Singh, Incharge, New Indoor Sports Complex; and Jagandeep Singh, Physiotherapist, Sports Council. The team will be accompanied by coaches Manisha Gupta and Mitali.
