JAMMU, July 3: Simula Cricket Club and Dream Cricket Club registered resounding victories over their rivals in the ongoing KC Sports Club Cup 2017, being played at KC Public School GROUND, HERE.
This tournament is being played on Natural turf which has been newly laid.
In the first match played today, Simula Cricket Club defeated Danny Cricket Club by 5 wickets in an easy contest.
Earlier, DCC won the toss and decided to bat first. Batting first, DCC scored a paltry total of 91 runs in the stipulated 20 overs. Ashok Kumar, Munish Chib and Amit Kumar contributed 24, 17 and 14 runs respectively. From Simula Club, Satish Kumar and Kuldeep Kumar took 2 wickets each.
While chasing the target, Simula made 95 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in 17.5 overs, thus won the match by 5 wickets. Atul Sharma, Satish and Yuvraj Saini contributed 30, 20 and 10 runs respectively. From Danny Cricket Club, Harinder Pal Singh took 2 wickets.
In another match played today, Dream Cricket Club defeated Champions Cricket Club by 29 runs.
Batting first Dream Cricket Club scored 138 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Chander, Raghav Sharma and Vicky Raina contributed 36, 25 and 20 runs to the total respectively. From Champions Cricket Club, Bhanu and Akshit took 2 wickets each.
In reply, Champions CC collapsed at 109 runs in 18.1 overs, thus lost the match by 29 runs. Shanga, Bhanu Gupta and Vinay Wanchoo contributed 31, 27 and 11 runs respectively. From Dream Cricket Club, Gagan and Sunny shared 4 and 3 wickets respectively.
