AKHNOOR, July 3: Kameshwar Cricket Club defeated Roman Rangers by 23 runs in the ongoing Under -19 Cricket Tournament Akhnoor 2017, being organized by Singh Cricket Club Akhnoor at Govt Boys Higher Secondary School, here.
Earlier, winning the toss and batting first, KCC scored a modest total of 129runs in the stipulated 20 overs, losing 5 wickets in the process. Aman top scored with 49 runs, while Sahil Sharma contributed 35 runs to the total. From Roman Rangers, Parveen took 2 wickets, while Anil, Stifen and Mohan Lal shared 1 wicket each.
In reply, Roman Rangers Akhnoor scored 106/10 in 15.4 overs, thus lost the match by 23 runs. Stifen, Shiv Sagar, Mohan Lal and Sagar contributed 26, 18, 23 and 14 runs respectively. From KCC, Ankush Sharma was the pick of the bowlers who captured 4 important wickets, while Abinandan took 3 wickets.
Aman and Sahil shared 1 wicket each. Aman was declared as the man of the match.
The match was officiated by Deepak Mangotra and Amit Mangotra as umpires, while Raman Sharma was the scorer.
