JAMMU, Sept 2: 26th District Billiards and Snooker Championship, being organised by the Jammu and Kashmir Billiards and Snooker Association was declared open by Siddarth Sharma, Chairman (JKBSA), at Billiards Hall, MA Stadium, here today.
Mr Sharma was accompanied by the other members of the Association including Sanjeev Gupta, Jaideep Manocha, Nikhil Kapahi, Vishal Abrol, Sohail Khalid, Lokesh Sharma, Vishal Kohli and Gurjeev Singh. Organising Secretary of the Championship, Ishuk Choudhary was also present on the occasion.
Rakesh Sharma will be the Marker for the Championship.
In the first round matches of Sub Junior Snooker, Prathimesh Sharma beat Saksham Gupta by (2-1), Sudhanshu Gupta trounced Mohd Asad (2-0), Krishnashu Bhagat got the better of Paras Mhajan (2-1), Krishna Mahajan drubbed Rakshit Sharma by (2-0), Anmol Singh defeated Harjot Singh (2-0), Akshit Gupta outplayed Vansh Gupta (2-1) and Akshit Sharma outclassed his rival by (2-1).
