JAMMU, July 16: Shubham Khajuria’s magnificent 97 runs helped Singh Cricket Club Akhnoor to thrash JKP XI in the ongoing Chevrolet Cricket Cup 2015, being sponsored by KC Motors Jammu and played at KC Public School ground, here.
Earlier, batting first Singh Cricket Club scored a decent total of 188 runs in the stipulated 20 overs. Shubham Khajuria was the top scorer with brilliant 97 runs, while Govil and Rahul Mani contributed 36 and 26 runs to the total respectively. Sudhir took 3 wickets, while Farooq claimed 2 wickets for JKP XI.
In reply, JKP XI were bundled out for 132 runs to lose the match by a big margin of 56 run. For SCC, skipper Sham Singh Langeh and Chandan took 3 wickets each, while Rajesh Sharma claimed 2 wickets. Shubham Khajuria and JV claimed one wicket each. For his brilliant batting performance, Shubham was declared man of the match.
