KATRA, May 22: Former Joint Secretary of the J&K State Sports Council (JKSSC), Shiv Kumar Sharma who is also president J&K Indian Style wrestling Association and Treasurer Indian Style Wrestling Association of India, has been made Prabhari (head) of State Sports Cell by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Shiv’ Kumar Sharma’s nomination was made by State BJP president, Ravinder Raina, who personally handed over the order issued in this regard at party’s Trikuta Nagar based head office, here.
“The party has assigned me the responsibility of the Sports Cell. Already engaged with the sports for decades together, I will put in best of my efforts to rejuvenate the organizational sports cell in J&K,” Mr Sharma said.
President of the J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association and treasurer of the National Wrestling body, Shiv Kumar Sharma has expressed his thanks to the BJP State president, Ravinder Raina and general secretary, Ashok Koul for entrusting faith.
It is important to mention here that Shiv Kumar Sharma besides his association with Wrestling has started a new series of lectures on sports and moral values at the school level.
Meanwhile, the BJP has also nominated Shiv Kumar Sharma as State Working Committee member in the same order issued on May 20, 2019.
