JAMMU, Apr 20: Majid Hussain produced a match-winning all-round performance, including a hat-trick and a five-wicket haul, as Shine Star Cricket Club registered a comprehensive victory over Rajouri Titans in the ongoing 1st Jambu Lochan T20 Cricket Tournament at Maulana Azad Stadium, here today.
Batting first after winning the toss, Shine Star posted a challenging total of 192 runs for 9 wickets in 20 overs. Varun Kumar top-scored with a blazing 46 off 23 balls, hitting four sixes and three boundaries. Majid Hussain contributed a solid 40 off 32 balls, while Nishant Kumar and Rafiq added useful runs to strengthen the innings. For Rajouri Titans, Imran, Mukesh and Faizal Dev took two wickets each.
Chasing 193, Rajouri Titans collapsed under pressure and were bundled out for just 68 runs in 10.3 overs. Majid Hussain led the bowling attack with a sensational spell, claiming 5 wickets for 18 runs, including a brilliant hat-trick that dismantled the opposition’s middle order. The remaining bowlers supported well as Shine Star dominated proceedings.
For his outstanding performance with both bat and ball, Majid Hussain was declared Man of the Match. The award was presented by Praval Sharma, General Secretary J&K Pickle Ball Association and Dayal Singh, Weightlifting Coach in J&K Police and Executive Member JKMGA.
