UDHAMPUR, Sept 19: District Level Inter Zonal and Inter School Athletics Meet for girls of all age groups got underway at Sports Stadium, here today.
In under-14 Long Jump, Sharda Devi of Zone Jib and Rimpi Devi of Zone Chenani clinched gold and silver medals respectively.
In under-14 Shotput, Zulekha Bano of Zone Majalta and Shallu Devi of Zone Jib bagged gold and silver medals respectively.
In under-14 High Jump, Priya Devi of Zone Tikri and Pallvi Devi of Zone Jib secured gold and silver medals respectively.
In 100 meters, Megha Devi of Zone Udhampur secured gold medal, in 200 meters, Sharda Devi of Zone Jib bagged gold medal, in 400 meters, Priya Sharma of Zone Majalta clinched gold medal and in 600 meters Anshu Devi of Zone Babey bagged gold medal.
In under-14 Discuss Throw, Suman Bhagatof Zone Ghordi and Sneha Singh of Zone Udhampur clinched gold and silver medals respectively.
In under-17 category, Anju Devi of Zone Babey bagged gold medal in 100 meters, Ashu Devi of Zone Tikri in 200 meters, Simran of Zone Udhampur in 400 meters, Manisha Devi of Zone Majalta in 800 meters, Geeta Devi of Zone Babey in 1500 meters and Ashu Devi of Zone Babey in 300 meters.
In under-17 Shotput, Monika Sharma of Zone Majalta and Kusum Lata of Zone Udhampur bagged gold and silver medals respectively.
In under-17 Discuss Throw, Shallu Devi of Zone Tikri and Simran of Zone Udhampur clinched gold and silver medals respectively.
In under-17 Javelin Throw, Radhika Kusum of Zone Babey and Arti Devi of Zone Ramnagar secured gold and silver medals respectively.
In under-17 Long Jump, Shakti Devi of Zone Ghordi and Anju Devi of Zone Babey bagged gold and silver medals respectively.
In under-17 High Jump, Deepa Sharma of Zone Tikri and Sapna Devi of Zone Udhampur secured gold and silver medals respectively.
In under-19 category, Shafali of HSS Krimachi clinched gold medal in 100 meters, Nisha of HSS Krimachi in 200 meters, Nishad Begum of HSS Krimachi in 400 meters, Komal Sharma of HSS Chanunta in 800 meters and Nishad Begum of HSS Krimachi in 1500 meters.
In under-19 Discuss Throw, Mannat Sharma of HSS Girls Udhampur and Nishad Begum of HSS Krimachi clinched gold and silver medals respectively.
In under-19 Long Jump, Shafali of HSS Girls Udhampur and Sonika Sharma of HSS Chanunta secured gold and silver medals respectively.
In under-19 High Jump, Nisha Devi of HSS Girls Udhampur and Neelama Devi of HSS Girls Udhampur bagged gold and silver medals respectively.
Meanwhile, Inter District Divisional Level Speed Ball Tournament for under-14, 17 and 19 boys and girls held at Maharaja Suchet Singh Stadium, Samba.
In today’s matches, Ashustosh Singh from Jammu defeated Shubam from Kathua in under-19 category and Gurumanjeet and Suryansh from Jammu smashed Arun and Mohit Sharma in under-19 boys doubles category. In Relay girls, Komal, Muskan, Neha Thakur and Kajal scored highest 86 points, whereas in Solo boys, Rahul from Jammu scored record 160 points.
