Shahoora T20 tournament gets underway

PULWAMA, Nov 8: Shahoora T20 knockout Cricket tournament, organised by Bihar Adab Shahoora, Department of Youth Services and Sports and District administration, got underway at Shah Zahoor Sports Stadium Tumlahal, here today.
About 24 teams from Pulwama and Tehsil Shahoora are participating in the tournament. Sports fans are enjoying the matches being played here between different teams, which are also being broadcasted on the news portal and social networking sites.
The tournament had started on October 25 which was inaugurated by the District Development Council Chairman, Syed Bari Andrabi in the presence of officers and dignitaries of the area.
The opening match of the tournament was played between SJCC Tumlahal and Tahab Tigers, which was won by Tumlahal. On the next day the first match was played between Nelora and Batnoor which was won by the former and 2nd match was played between Chandgam and Naira which was won by Chandgam.
Another match of the tournament was played between the Pulwama Gymkhana and Young Boys Liter wherein Pulwama Gymkhana emerged winners.
The teams of Gabarpura, Machpuna, Achan, Alaipura, Chidran, Zasoo, Shadipora and Chakura villages also performed in the tournament.
The locals expressed happiness over the newly established Stadium but the stadium still lacked some basic amenities like mats. They demanded the District administration for their redressal as soon as possible, so that the local players exhibit their talent at national and international levels.
