Seven JKFA Members resign from Executive Committee

SRINAGAR, Nov 18: Seven key members resigned from Jammu and Kashmir Football Association (JKFA), blaming the Association for its failure in development and promotion of the game.
Those who have resigned from the Association included sports administrator, Chairman Sports Board J&K Bank and former national footballer, Abdul Hamid Banday from the post of Executive Member. Former Secretary J&K Bank Sports Board Showkat A Khanyari resigned from the post of Chairman Disciplinary Committee, Former International Footballer Ramesh Chander resigned from the post of Vice President JKFA and Joint Secretary Jammu, International Football Coach Sajid Dar resigned from the post of Vice Chairman (K) Technical Committee. Star International player J&K Arun Malhotra resigned from the post of Vice Chairman (J) Technical Committee. Sports Management Professional Majid Yousuf resigned from the post of Joint Secretary (K) and famous Sports Promoter and Columnist Asif Maqbool resigned from the post of Executive Member JKFA.
“Not even a single meeting of Executive Committee has been called Since the elections held last year in 2018, and all the decisions are been taken by one or two persons individually.
Those who have resigned have appealed the Govt authorities to look into the matter seriously and save this lovable game and preserve the sanctity of sports.
