JAMMU, Jan 27: The selection trials for the upcoming KAI National Senior Karate Championship will be held on February 7, 2015 from 3 pm to 5 pm here at Gandhi Bhawan, Secretariat Road, under the banner of Amateur Karate Do Association of Jammu and Kashmir (AKAJK).
The decision to hold selection trials was taken at a meeting of AKAJK here today.
KAI National Senior Karate Championship is going to be held from February 18 to 20, 2015 at Talkatora Indoor Stadium, New Delhi. The championship is being organized by Karate Association of India.
The age and weight categories will be: Individual Kumite Age: +18 years
Female: -45 kg, -50 kg, -55 kg, -61 kg, -68 kg, +68 kg
Male: -50KG, -55KG, -60KG, -67KG, -75KG, -84KG, +84KG
Individual and Team Kata Age: +16 YRS (Female and Male)
The president of AKAJK, Ambedkar Gupta, has invited players of Karate coaches and players in the State to participate in the trials.
