Satisar beats Milchaar Chargers, lifts KPCL title

JAMMU, Sept 25: Satisar Cricket Club trounced Milchaar Chargers by 5 wickets and lifted the title trophy of the Kashmiri Pandit Cricket League (KPCL), played at KC Ground, here today.
Batting first, Milchaar Chargers scored 160 runs by losing all wickets in stipulated 20 overs. Aakash Raina made 38 runs, while Mukul and Ishan contributed 35& 14 runs respectively. From bowling side, Ayush, Anmol and Suman took 2 wickets each, while Amit, Ritik & Rahul clinched 1 wicket apiece.
In reply, Satisar Cc chased the target easily by losing only 5 wickets in 19.4 overs. Rahul and Ayush remained not out at 47 and 11 runs respectively, while Suman contributed 40 runs and won the match by 5 wickets. From the bowling side, Sumit took 2 wickets, while Rishab, Akshay and Anubhav secured 1 wicket apiece. Rahul was declared as man of the match for his outstanding performance.
The winning team was awarded with Rs 31000 cash prize and a trophy, while Rs 21000 was given to the runner up team. Man of the series award was clinched by Aman Zutshi along with a trophy and Anshul and Bhumesh Bhat were declared as best batsman and best bowlers.
Ashok Pandita, Relief Commissioner Jammu was the chief guest of the closing ceremony, whereas other dignitaries including Ashender Koul, former J&K captain, Nahida, BJP Bandipora president, Dr Moza, Ashok Kangan, Rahul Kaul, Rakesh Koul and Satish Khoda were present.
