JAMMU, Nov 19: Satan Cricket Club and Tulmul Tigers registered victories over their rivals in the ongoing Kashmiri Pandit Cricket League, being organised under the banner of Iqwaat Sports Organisation, an initiative of Vishva Kashmiri Samaj at MA Stadium, here today.
Batting first, Satan Cricket Club scored a good total of 139 runs in the allotted 20 overs. Rocky top scored with 55 runs off 47 balls, while Anshul Vaishnavi contributed 44 runs off 37 balls. For RSCC, Ravi Bindroo took 2 wickets.
In reply, RSCC managed to score 100 runs in the stipulated 20 overs, thus lost the match by 38 runs. Surender Kachroo scored 20 runs, while Sarthak and Rocky contributed 12 runs each. For Satan Cricket Club, Ashish Raina captured 2 wickets, while Rocky claimed 2 wickets. Rocky was adjudged as the man of the match for his all-round display.
In 2nd match, Tulmul Tigers scored a modest total of 84 runs in the stipulated 20 overs. Praveen Raina made 31 runs, while Ronak Razdan contributed 20 runs to the total. For APCC, Atul Watloo took 3 wickets, while Ricky Razdan claimed 2 wickets.
In reply, APCC bundled out for meagre total of 44 runs, thus lost the match by 40 runs. None of the batsmen could show much application and the entire team collapsed at paltry total. For Tulmul Tigers, Vinod Bhat and Ronak Razdan took 3 wickets each. Vinod Bhat was declared as the man of the match for his brilliant bowling show.
Vinod Bhat was awarded with trophy by Rajeev Pandita, Working Committee Member JKCA in presence of umpires BK Tickoo and Ajay Raina.
Meanwhile, in yesterday matches, RCC Bulls trounced Martand Sunrisers by 10 runs. Batting first RCC Bulls scored 127 runs in stipulated 20 overs. Vimarsh Kaw made highest score 51 while Puneet Wattal scored 34 runs. In reply, Martand Sunrisers bundled out at 117 runs. Pankaj and Rakesh Raina contributed 37 and 26 runs respectively.
In another match, KC XI beat Bharat Cricket Club by 5 wickets.
Batting first, Bharat Cricket Club bundled out for meagre total of 69 runs. Rakesh Tickoo and Rohan Punjabi contributed 15 and 10 runs respectively. In reply, KC XI chased the target in 10.2 overs by losing only 5 wickets, thus won the match by 5 wickets. Sidharth top scored with 37 runs.
The tournament is being held under the supervision of organisers Rajesh Dhar, Ankur Bagati and Ashish Kachroo.
