SAMBA, Mar 15: Continuing with the endeavour of Jammu and Kashmir Police to encourage the best talent among the youth, District Police Samba today organized final of Talent Hunt Competition “Choona Hai Aasman Season-4” at R R Resorts, Samba.
Earlier, Suram Singh, Additional SP Samba presented welcome addresss.
Roop Raj Bhagat, Commandant IRP 17th Bn, Prof B S Narang, retired Head of the Department, Music and Fine Arts, Punjab University and Sukhraj Kour, Principal Navodaya Vidyalaya, Nud Samba were the adjudicators of the event.
The adjudicators had to judge the talent among the shortlisted 30 participants from various Colleges/Schools of District Samba in Solo Singing.
R K Verma, Deputy Commissioner, Samba was invited as the chief guest on the occasion who while speaking on the occasion lavished praise on Israr Khan, retired DIG who is the pioneer of this Talent Hunt Competition.
Anil Magotra, SP Samba in his address said that J&K Police under its Civic Action Programme (CAP) primarily aims at giving platform to talented youth to showcase their talent and make a name for themselves in the State and the Country as well.
Buland Kumar Dubey of District Police Samba got 1st position, whereas Gourav Sambyal got 2nd position and Vipin Kumar got 3rd position under Senior Category Male. Likewise, Harshita Sharma got 1st position, Anu Choudhary got 2nd and Priya Kohli bagged 3rd position under Senior Category Female.
Utkarsh clinched 1st position, Anuj Naru 2nd and Ankush Kalotra got 3rd position in Junior Category Male, Shibani Sambyal got 1st position, whereas Anshu Sharma got 2nd position and Richa Sambyal got 3rd position in Junior Category Female.
Now, all the winners will compete at the Range Level and at the Zone Level to be held shortly in Jammu. Then the winners of the Zone Level will compete at the State Level in the Grand Finale.
All the winners were given trophies and cash prizes by Deputy Commissioner, Samba and SP Samba.
Certificates of participation in one month Specialized Training organized for the winners of ‘Choona Hai Assmaan Seasons 1, 2 and 3’ under Civic Action Programme (CAP) at GO Mess Jammu were distributed among the trainees invited on the occasion.
