JAMMU, July 29: Samba Brigade under the aegis of Gurj Division organized the Gurj Under-19 Inter Block Kabaddi Championship at Samba Military station, which concluded here today.
The tournament was another step to strengthen the ties with locals of Samba.
Nine Block teams and a joint team of APS and KV Samba team participated in the tournament.
The final match was played between Bari Brahmna and joint team of APS and KV Samba. The joint team of APS and KV Samba was adjudged the champion in the tournament with Mohd Akaram of Bari Brahmana being adjudged as the best raider and Sushant Magotra of joint team of APS & KV Samba the best defender.
Brigadier Anil Raman, Commander Samba Brigade was the chief guest on the occasion and the event was also attended by other civil dignitaries.
Brigadier Raman lauded the efforts of the organisers for holding this event.
