JAMMU, Feb 3: Defeating their respective rivals in the semifinals, Samar Cricket Club and KC Sports Club sealed berth in the finals of the KC Sports Club T20 Cup today and will lock horns with each other in the summit clash.
The first semifinal match was played between Simula Cricket Club and Samar Cricket Club. After winning the toss Simula CC decided to bat first.
Simula CC set a target of 134 runs in 20 overs. Manjeet, Raman and Satish contributed 33, 22 and 18 runs to the total respectively. From Samar Club, Aman, Jatin and Deepak took 2 wickets each.
In reply, Samar CC chased the target in 18.3 overs. Vivrant, Sandeep and Jatin scored 66, 27 and 15 runs respectively. Ritik took 3 wickets while Sahil claimed 1 wicket for Simula. Vivrant of Samar CC was declared as the man of the match.
In the second match, Nagrota won the toss and choose to bat first, but bundled ot for paltry 70 runs in 16.4 overs. Vishal scored 16 runs, while Niju and Jatinder chipped in with 12 runs each. From KCSC, Vivek Sharma (Bablu) and Vijay Dogra took 4 wickets each, while Vicky Raina claimed 1 wicket.
KCSC Senior chased the target easily in 8.4 overs. Abhishant Bakshi, Hisham Salim and Arjun Chowdhary made 25, 18 and 12 runs respectively. From bowling side, Sahil and Pradeep took 2 and 1 wicket respectively. Vivek Sharma of KCSC Senior was declared as the man of the match.
The matches were officiated by Vijay Raina, Ashok Singh and Jatinder Bali.
