JAMMU, Dec 4: Sainik School Nagrota celebrated its 46th Annual Day with zeal and zest, here today.
Col Kapil Dev Kaushal, Principal presided over the function as chief guest.
An impressive ceremonial Guard of Honour commanded by the School Captain Cadet Abdul Manan was presented to honour the chief guest.
The chief guest inaugurated the Art, Maths and Science Exhibition in Academic Block. Principals from all CBSE affiliated schools in Jammu region were present to grace the occasion.
The second part of the function was held at the School Auditorium where a large number of parents had gathered to witness the grand stage show followed by presentation of academic awards to meritorious cadets. The chief guest Col Kapil Dev Kaushal lit the traditional lamp to formally inaugurate the function and unveiled the latest edition of the bi-annual School Newsletter.
Saraswati Vandana and recital of School Prayer, the Principal presented a detailed School Annual report ‘Journey 2016’ and highlighted the multifarious accomplishments of the school during the year through a vivid multimedia presentation. Further, the young cadets of the school performed a cultural extravaganza on stage, which included Aerobics, Hindi Skit and Fusion Dance.
The chief guest presented the Cock House Champions Trophy to Bhagat House and gave away special awards to members of the staff for their outstanding contribution in their area of work with dedication and commitment.
