JAMMU, Nov 15: Defeating NIS Club in a close contest by 3 points in the summit clash, SAI Club won the title trophy of the 20th Open District Kho-Kho Championship, organized by Jammu and Kashmir Kho-Kho Association at Green Field, Gandhi Nagar, here today.
S Charanjeet Singh Khalsa, MLC was the chief guest on the concluding function, who distributed prizes among the winners and runners-up teams on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest appreciated the efforts of the Association for organizing such event, which help youth to channelize their energies and not to derail from the mainstream.
Earlier, in the finals, SAI Club defeated NIS Club in a close contest by a narrow margin of 3 points (10-7).
The matches were officiated by Gagan Kumar, Pankaj, Vishal, Jagjot, Sumit Kumar and Deepak.
Later-on, S Manmeet Singh, president of the Association presented vote of thanks.
