JAMMU, July 4: Safran Cricket Club (Safran CC) registered emphatic win by nine wickets over the Gorkha Cricket Club (Gorkha CC) in the ongoing Jagti Premiere Cup, being played at here today.
Gorkha CC won the toss and elected to bat first. Batting first Gorkha CC scored 97 runs by losing all wickets in 14.2 overs wherein Manish Sharma made highest 45 runs off 28 balls, while Happy and Rahul contributed 13 runs each off 12 and 11 balls respectively. From bowling side, Deepak Koul bagged four wickets, Sonu Zutshi clinched three wickets and Rahul and Yogesh Sikka secured two and one wickets respectively.
In reply, the Safran CC displayed extraordinary batting skills and chased the set target in just 5.2 overs by losing only single wicket in which Rahil scored 57 runs in just 14 balls while Rohit Koul and Lazit Sharma contributed 13 and 11 runs while facing just four and 11 balls. From bowling side, Sushnant was the only bowler who succeeded to take single wicket of the opponent team and lost the match with big margin of nine wickets.
Deepak Koul was declared as man of the match for his outstanding performance with bowling.
