JAMMU, May 15: Brilliant 70 runs off 72 balls, studded with 6 fours and 2 sixes by young Rytham Mahajan helped Patel Cricket Club thrash Bahu Fort XI by a big margin of 46 runs to advance in the ongoing District Level JKCA Premier Cricket Championship, being organized by Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association at GGM Science College Hostel ground, here.
Earlier, winning the toss and batting first, Patel Cricket Club scored a decent total of 153 runs in 28.2 overs. Apart from Rytham, Abhinav Puri scored 33 off 38 balls, with 2 fours and one six, while Rohan Gill and Raghav Sharma contributed 9 and 8 runs to the toal respectively. For Bahu Fort XI, Sahil took 3 wickets, while Rahul and Rohit claimed 2 wickets each.
In reply, Bahu Fort XI managed to score 107 runs in 22.2 overs by losing 9 wickets and lost the match by 46 runs. Rohit and Raj scored 17 runs each, while Sahil contributed 16 runs to the total. For Patel Cricket Club, Abhinav Puri took 3 important wickets, while Sahil bagged 2 wickets. Tribhuvan, Tayyab Farooq and Dhruv Gupta claimed 1 wicket each. Rytham Mahajan of Patel Cricket Club was declared as the man of the match for his superb batting display.
The amtch was officiated by Saleem-Ur-Rehman, Sadiq Hussain Malik and Vinod Kandyara.
In tomorrow’s fixture, Ravish Cricket Club will take on Laxmi Cricket Club at 9 am.
