JAMMU, Oct 2: After a good display of skill and talent, Rudraksh and Chetanya made it to the cadet boys’ finals and will take on each other in the summit clash of the ongoing Jammu District Open Table Tennis Championship, being organised by the Jammu and Kashmir Table Tennis Association at Indoor Complex, MA Stadium, here.
Earlier, in the cadet boys semifinals, Rudraksh defeated Adhyan (3-1), while Chetanya got the better of Kirtan (3-2).
In cadet girls quarterfinals, Mishti beat Ankita (3-1), Hargun drubbed Seerat (3-1) and Airya thrashed Prisha (3-0), while in Sub Junior boys first round, Rohan Langer trounced Adhyan (2-0) and Harman defeated Raagdeep (2-1) and in junior boys first round, Adhyan outplayed Manan Jain (3-0), Maanay outclassed Aarit (3-0), Akhilesh beat Aarav (3-1) and Tejas defeated Rakshan (3-1).
Prominent among those who were present during the matches included Ravi Singh, Divisional Sports Officer (J), Satbir Singh, Rajan Sharma, IP Singh, Satish Gupta, Ajay Sharma, Er Saleem Bandey, Vasu Dewan, Sandeep Khadotra, Narinder Singh, Sheetal Gandotra, Sanjeev Gupta, Suresh Sharma (SAI Coach) and Vikas Magotra.
The matches were officiated by Vasu Dewan, Satish Gupta, Gurvinder Singh Sasan (NIS Table Tennis coach), Sandeep Khadotra (NIS Table Tennis coach), Meenu Rajesh and Asad Sharma.
