Royal Warriors, Paradise XI, Legal Warriors enter semis

JAMMU, Apr 17: Defeating their rivals in the quarterfinal clashes, Royal Warriors, Legal Warriors and Paradise XI entered the semifinals of the Lawyers Sports Meet 2014, here today.
Earlier, in the first quarterfinal, Sachin XI batted first and scored 92 runs with Gagan Kohli scoring 37 runs and Sachin 36 runs. Sanjeev and Sachin Sharma claimed 1 wicket each.
Royal Warriors while chasing scored 93 runs by losing 4 wickets, thus won the match by 6 wickets. Surinder scored 37 runs and Raj Wazir contributed 26 runs.
In second quarterfinal match, Legal Warriors batted first and scored 104, Deepak Singh Baloeria  scored 32 runs, Shashi Koul contributed 22 runs, while Samiullah and Ashish Sharma claimed 2 wickets each. Dabangg XI while chasing the target of 104 runs scored 72 runs in which Amarjeet scored 17 runs and Shahbaz scored 13 runs. Sanjeev bagged 2 wickets.
In 3rd quarterfinal, Paradise XI batted first and scored 155 runs. Gurupratap scored 75 runs not out, while Naryan contributed 50 runs. Ajay Manhas took 2 wickets in 2 overs by giving away just 3 runs. Ravi Abrol and  Ishan took 2 wickets each. Dogra XI while chasing scored 58 runs and lost the match by 97 runs.
Meanwhile, in volleyball, in first match, Mavericks defeated Jai Hind in straight sets by (25-18, 25-20), while in second match, Strikers defeated Paradise in straight sets by (25-13, 25-14).
