Royal Warrior outplays Jammu Stars by 44 runs

JAMMU, May 20: Royal Warrior Cricket Club defeated Jammu Stars Cricket Club by a big margin of 44 runs in the ongoing Jammu District Cricket Tournament, being organised by Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) at GGM Science College Hostel ground, here.
The Tournament is being organised under the patronage of Justice CK Prasad, Administrator JKCA, under the Chairmanship of Syed Ashiq Hussain Bukhari, CEO JKCA and under the overall supervision of Jang Bahadur Singh Jamwal, Member Judicial State Human Rights Commission and Member JKCA.
Earlier, winning the toss and batting first, Royal Warriors Cricket Club scored a decent total of 182 runs. Achintya top scored with 35 runs, while Deepak contributed 22 runs to the total. Rahul Kumar and Akhil Uppal scored 20 runs each. From Jammu Stars Cricket Club, Ghulam Karim took 4 important wickets, while Amir claimed 3 wickets.
In reply, Jammu Stars Cricket Club managed to score 138 runs to lose the match by 44 runs. Sanjay, Hitesh and Amir contributed 20, 19 and 18 runs to the total respectively. Karanveer Singh Salathia took 4 important wickets from Royal Warrior Cricket Club, while Rahul Kumar bagged 2 wickets and Prince claimed one wicket. Karanveer Singh was adjudged as the man of the match for his brilliant bowling display.
The match was officiated by Dayal Singh and Vijay Raina as umpires, while Saleem-ur-Rehman was the scorer.
The members of Jammu District Organising Committee include Gyneshwar Sharma, Rajesh Dhar, Vijay Sharma, Sarveshwar Singh and Shubam Verma, while the matches are being held under the observation of Vinod Sharma, Selector.
