Roshan of JKP wins Bhabber Dangal Title

KATRA, June 28: Roshan Lal Sharma of J&K Police clinched the 2nd Annual Bhabber Dangal Title, defeating Rahil of Goal Bagh Stadium Amritsar in 24 minute-long bout at Bhabber in Reasi.
Winner and runner-up wrestlers of the first malli bout were awarded with a cash prize of Rs 6,000 and Rs 5,000 respectively by chief guest, president J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association, Shiv Kumar Sharma, general secretary District Reasi Indian Style Wrestling Association, Naresh Kumar (Pappu Lakri) and president of Bhabber Dangal Committee Shashi Kumar.
The Dangal was organized by Bhabber Dangal committee in collaboration with J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association under the overall supervision of Treasurer Indian Style Wrestling Association of India Shiv Kumar Sharma and Shashi Kumar.
Around 88 wrestlers draws from within and outside the state participated in the one day long wrestling event. In all, 46 bouts were played in the event.
Treasurer Indian Style Wrestling Association of India, Shiv Kumar Sharma was the chief guest who gave away the cash prizes to the winners and runners-up wrestlers. District Reasi Indian Style Wrestling Association General Secretary Naresh Kumar (Pappu Lakri) presided over the function. Sarpanch Bodh Raj and Headmaster Balbir Singh were the guests of honour. Prominent among others were Bittu Raina, Master Ali Akbar Khan, Om Parkash Verma, Jyoti Parkash, Sagar Chand and Sanjay Kumar.
