Rohit, Sharad help Lifecare CC, LBSCC to register splendid wins over opponents

KATHUA, Dec 20: Rohit Sharma’s six wickets haul scripted 13 runs win over Kathua District Cricket Association (KDCA) by Lifecare Cricket Club Lucknow, while Sharad’s four wickets helped Lal Bahadur Shastri Cricket Club (LBSCC) Delhi to drub JKP Kathua by 113 runs in the ongoing 10th Police Martyrs Memorial T-12 Cricket Tournament, being played at Sports Stadium, here today.
In the first match, Lifecare CC Lucknow scored 121 runs wherein Ritesh was the highest scorer who made 46 runs off 51 balls with the help of three boundaries and one maximum, while Sohraab made unbeaten 25 runs off 16.
In reply, KDCA made 108 against the set target of 122 runs by losing 9 wickets in the process in the stipulated 20 overs and lost the match by 13 runs. From the bowling side, Rohit Sharma in his splendid bowling spell of four overs took 6 wickets by giving 10 runs only and was declared as man of the match.
In another match which was played between, LBSCC Delhi and J&K Police Kathua wherein LB Shastri CC won the toss and elected to bat first. They scored 168 runs by losing 6 wickets in the process.
In reply, the J&K Police failed to chase the set target and bundled out at 55 runs in 13.4 overs.
For LBS CC Delhi, Koushal scored 53 runs in 40 balls, studded with 8 boundaries, while Ankush Tyagi scored 31 runs off 21 balls with the help of 5 boundaries. Sharad was declared as man of the match for his brilliant spell, in which he took 4 main wickets by conceding 14 runs only.
