Road to Himalaya qualifying round concludes

JAMMU, Sept 24: Hero Cycles today organised a qualifying round of Hero MTB Shimla in collaboration with J&K Mountain Biking Association and Kashmir Mountain Biking Club, supported by Haji Amir Joo & Sons.
The Race started from Nigeen to Astaanmarg and returned back to Nigeen. Umer Nabi got first place while Mohammad Amin Reshi got second place and Rafiq Ahmad secured third place.
More than 50 riders participated and covered around 26 km distance with an elevation of 300 metres.
Jamsheed Jeelani, Managing Director, Haji Amir Joo & Sons was the chief guest of the valedictory function, whereas Riyaz Wani president JKMBA and Mushtaq Ahmad Bhat joint secretary JKCA also graced the event along with enthusiast cyclists including Faheem Ali, Dr Sheikh Tariq, Dr Shuja Ul Bashir Naqushbandi and Er Mushtaq Ahmad Wani.
The first three position holders were selected for Hero MTB Shimla which will be held in Shimla next month.
