IG Jammu to inaugurate 7th Eid-Diwali Milan Cricket Cup today

JAMMU, Nov 9: Road Safety Department will take on Kashmir XI Secretariat in the inaugural tie of 7th Eid-Diwali Milan Cricket Cup for students and youths at Parade Ground, here tomorrow.
The 7th Eid-Diwali Milan Cricket Cup is being organized by Zonal Police Headquarters Jammu in collaboration with Simula Sports Club, KC Sports Club and Vishal Cricket Club.
The tournament will be inaugurated by Inspector General of Police (IGP) Jammu Zone Dr SD Singh Jamwal.
The participating teams included KC Sports, Simula Club, Vishal Club, Horizon XI Samba, Road Safety XI, Kashmir Happenings XI, Lakshmi Cricket Club, KCCC, Sai Cricket Club, WCC Kashmir, Star Eleven, Evershine Club, Kashmir XI (Sect), KC Academy, Khalsa Cricket Club, Saffron Cricket Club, Raja Warriors, Reasi Royals, Sparton Cricket XI, Samar Cricket Club, Lions Cricket Club, Cant Cricket Club, Singh Cricket Club Akhnoor and Haryana Cricket Club.
“The slogan of the tournament is “lets’ celebrate the duo festival together through T20 Sports”. The main objective of the event is to promote communal harmony among the masses, to engage youths and students in sports so that they may not derail from the mainstream and to provide a professional platform to them to showcase their hidden skills”, informed Rajesh Gill Chief Prosecuting Officer and Organizing Secretary of the event.
The tournament will be organized under the chairmanship of Dr SD Singh Jamwal IGP Jammu and the organizing committee members included Vivek Gupta SSP Jammu, Rajesh Sharma SO to IGP Jammu, RK Bhat SSP, Ramesh Kotwal SP Headquarters Jammu, Hilal Rather MD Simula Sports, Ranjeet Kalra, Arjun Choudhary Managing Partner KC Sports Club, Rajesh Dhar, Sudhir Singh, Ashish Singh Captain Horizon Kings, Sanjeev Mahajan, Vijay Saberwal, Saleem-ur-Rehman, Sadiq Hussain and Rajesh Gill.
“The cricket tournament on major festivals in collaboration with local cricket clubs is an annual feature of the Zonal Police Headquarters Jammu and are organized under the direct supervision of IGP Jammu”, stated Rajesh Gill Organizing Secretary of the event.
