JAMMU, Nov 15: RM Public School, Chowadi Sainik Colony, Jammu organized one day Bal Mela programme in RM Charitable and Educational Trust premises, here today.
Kavinder Gupta, Speaker Legislative Assembly, J&K was the chief guest on the occasion, while Vinay Gupta, senior BJP leader was the special guest.
Chairman, RM Public School, Rameshwar Mengi and Trustee RM Charitable and Educational Trust, Rita Mengi along with in-charges of Shiksha Niketan High School Gandhi Nagar, Shiksha Niketan Hr. Secondary School Jeevan Nagar, Principal R M College of Education and Principal R M Public School welcomed the chief guest and other dignitaries, who inaugurated the Mela.
Mr Gupta and Mr Mengi alongwith other guests formally opened book stalls, eatable stalls, games and ride sites on the occasion.
Later on second newly constructed building of RMPS was also inaugurated by the chief guest. All the distinguished guests took round of whole building and were fascinated with the infrastructural and high tech facilities provided to the teachers and students for best teaching-learning process.
Special attraction of the event was elephant ride, horse ride, camel ride, swings, Tambola and Book Exhibition. To entertain the audience provision of DJ was also there. Students of all age groups danced and sang various songs of their choice.
Chief Guest in his address applauded the role of teachers in building the society and nation. He laid stress on the overall development of the child. He congratulated the staff and management of the School for organizing such programmes in the premises for social, moral, cultural and aesthetic development of the children.
Mementoes were also presented to the distinguished guests on this occasion.
Earlier, Meenakshi Pathania presented welcome address, while the proceedings of the programme were conducted by senior faculty members Ajay and Sangita.
