RKFC emerges winner of 1st Futsal C’ship

SRINAGAR, Sept 23: Real Kashmir FC (R) emerged winner of the 1st JKFA Futsal Championship-2021 defeating Downtown Hero’s FC by 3 goals to 1 in the final, being played at Gindun Stadium Rajbagh, here today.
A total of 16 teams participated in this event, which was played on league basis. Teams were divided into four pools. The final of the championship was played between Real Kashmir FC (R) and Downtown Hero’s FC. Both the teams played quality football and enthralled the audience by exhibiting perfect ball control, tactical and skilful play.
Zahid of RKFC scored two goals and Hayat scored one, whereas from Downtown Hero’s FC Owais scored the lone goal for his team. It was a new experience for all the participating teams to play Futsal Championship for the 1st time under the AIFF Rules & Regulations.
Meanwhile, in the ongoing ‘A’ Division of DFA Srinagar Annual League Football, being played at Gindun Ground Rajbagh, Al-Qudus FC got a walkover against Flying Kashmir FC, whereas in another match, Alamdar Madina FC defeated Young Boys Balhama by 3 goals to 2.
In the ongoing Super Division League, FC View defeated Fortview FC by solitary goal wherein Sahil of FC View was the scorer, whereas the match between Court Road FC and Towheed FC remained goalless.
It is pertinent to mention here that Jammu and Kashmir Football Association (JKFA) is going to organise 1st Positive Kashmir Knockout Football Championship from September 24 at Synthetic Turf TRC, wherein about 16 top teams are participating.
The inaugural match will be played between DFA Srinagar Veterans and Positive Kashmir Veterans, followed by another match Iqbal Sports FC will lock horns with Positive Kashmir FC.
