SRINAGAR, Sept 23: The skipper’s all-round performance helped Jahangir Warriors to defeat AG’s Office team by 9 wickets in the second semi-final of the fourth edition of Champions Trophy Dalgate-2021 at TRC Ground, here today.
With this win, Jahangir Warriors sailed into the finals of Champions Trophy which will be played on Sunday wherein Jahangir Warriors will lock horns with Royal Star Buchpora at the above mentioned venue.
In today’s match, AG’s Office team won the toss and elected to bat first but unfortunately all of them bundled out at 135 runs in 25.4 overs. Muhammad Mudassir and Sohail scored 37 and 25 runs respectively. From the bowling side, Muneeb Manaf and Gowhar Rashid took three wickets each for Jahangir warriors.
In reply, Jahangir Warriors chased the target with a loss of just one wicket in 22.5 overs and won the match by 9 wickets and made it place in the final. Fazil Rashid scored 83 runs and Muneeb Manaf scored 42 runs for Jahangir Warriors.
Skipper Muneeb Munaf was declared as man of the match for his outstanding performance with bat and ball.
The Cricket tournament is being organized by Cricket Fraternity Dalgate wherein about 32 teams from different parts of the Valley are taking part in it.
