Rawalpora CC, Cosmos Club script wins in JPL

JAMMU, Feb 2: Rawalpora Cricket Club (RCC) and Cosmos Cricket Club (CCC) registered victories over their rivals in the ongoing Jammu Premier League (JPL) 2016 at GGM Science College ground, here.
In the first match, Rawalpora Club defeated Strikers XI by a narrow margin of 8 runs in a low scoring game. RCC Scored 102 runs in 20 overs. Irfan top scored with 28 runs, while Firdous and Zahid chipped in with 15 and 13 runs respectively. Vikram took 5 wickets for Strikers XI.
In reply, SCC bundled out for 94 runs to lose the match by 8 runs. Jimmy, Vikram and Sachin contributed 21, 17 and 13 runs respectively. Khursheed took 4 wickets for Rawalpora Club.
In another match, Cosmos Cricket Club defeated Assembly Secretariat XI by 24 runs in an easy contest. Cosmos Club scored 160 runs, with Wajahat scoring brilliant 56 runs. Bilal took 2 wickets for Assembly Secretariat XI.
In reply, Assembly Secretariat managed to score 136 runs in the allotted overs, thus lost the match by 24 runs. Zubair top scored with 56 runs. For Cosmos CC, Yasir and Gowhar took 2 wickets each.
The matches were officiated by Sadiq Hussain Malik, Amit Sharma, Rajinder Singh, Mushtaq, Bharat and Puran.
