Dr Bali visits Bangladesh in connection with South Asian Games

JAMMU, Jan 31: Dr SM Bali, president J&K Handball Association and joint secretary Indian Olympic Association returned back to Jammu from Dhaka (Bangladesh) visit, which was in connection with South Asian Games.
Dr Bali was deputed in the panel of three members committee by Ministry of Youth affairs and Sports, Govt of India, along with Kiran Soni Gupta, Additional Secretary and Financial Advisor, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports and Rakesh Kumar, Under Secretary Youth affairs and Sports.
Dr. Bali was made to visit on behalf of Indian Olympic Association as he is the joint secretary of the same.
The purpose of the visit was to extend an invitation to Bangladesh Sports Contingent for the participation in the 12th South Asian Games.
The Indian delegation met Sports Minister and Deputy Sports Minister of Bangladesh during their visit.
The letter of invitation by Union Sports Minister of India was handed over to Bangladesh President by the delegation.
Bangladesh Sports Minister gave assurance to the delegation of participating in 22 disciplines, with 475 athletes including managers, coaches and technical officials.
