SAMBA, Mar 10: Defeating NV Dahlot convincingly in the summit clash, Rajput Cricket Club won the Under-25 Girls Cricket Tournament, organised by the District Administration Samba in its endeavour to promote the flagship programme ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ of Govt of India at Sports Stadium, here today.
District Development Commissioner Samba, Rohit Khajuria, Chairperson Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Scheme was the chief guest on the occasion, who distributed mementoes, certificates and other prizes among the winners and other participants.
Four teams of District Samba took part in the event and the participating teams included Higher Secondary School Vijaypur, N V Dahlo, Rajput Cricket Club and MIER Public School Ramgarh.
Earlier, in the knockout stage, N V Dahlot defeated  HSS Vijaypur and Rajput Cricket Club Gurha Salathia defeated MIER Ramgarh, while the finals was won by Rajput Cricket Club by 7 wickets.
The tournament was held under the overall supervision of District Youth Services and Sports Officer Samba, Kiran Jyoti, while Rajeev Sharma was the District Coordinator.
