Rajouri Police holds Dangal

RAJOURI, Apr 20: In a continued effort to combat drug abuse and promote a healthy lifestyle among youth, Rajouri Police, in collaboration with Mahavir Committee Kalakote, organized a traditional Dangal under the banner of Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyan at Kalakote.
Rajouri Police officials, while addressing the gathering, highlighted the urgent need to eradicate the drug menace, stating that addiction not only ruins the future of youth but also disrupts families and society.
Eminent personalities present on the occasion included renowned wrestler Divya Kakran as chief guest, Thakur Randhir Singh and Municipal Committee Chairman Vijay Suri.
The Dangal witnessed enthusiastic participation from locals and civil society members. In the main bout, Deepak Kakran from Punjab emerged as the winner, while Farooq from Pathankot secured the runner-up position. Cash prizes worth Rs 1.31 lakh were distributed. The event was managed by Dangal Committee members Kishore Singh, Narender Singh and Surinder Singh.
