KATRA, June 6: Two-day long 11th Reasi District Open Fencing Championship for Boys and Girls organized by Reasi District Fencing Association concluded today at Amba Kids Home Panthal.
About 100 fencers participated in the two day championship. Mohan Lal Sharma, DySP Reasi, was the chief guest and Ashok Kumar Sharma was the special guest during the closing ceremony function.
The first final bout was played between Rahul Prashar and Aryan Chandel in which Rahul Prashar defeated Aryan Chandel by 10-07 while in the second final bout Rajan Prashar got better off Anoop Jyoti and clinched the bout by 10-08.
Other prominent persons present during the occasion were Principal Amba Kids Home Panthal, Ashwani Katoch and Vice-Principal, Rani Katoch. The matches were officiated by Hardeep Bhagat, Anoop Jyoti, Rohit, Rajan Prashar, etc.

Under 14 Epee boys: Narinder Kumar won Gold, Devinder Kumar won Silver while Amit and Waseem bagged 1st and 2nd Bronze, respectively.
Under 14 Sabre boys: Akshay Kumar bagged Gold, Bharat Dogra won Silver while Aryan Chandel and Muzzaffar Ahmed, secured 1st and 2nd Bronze, respectively.
Under 17 Epee boys: Ajay Kumar won Gold, Mayank Kapoor bagged Silver whereas Vikas Kumar and Parvinder secured 1st and 2nd Bronze, respectively.
Under 17 Foil boys: Gold was won by Parshant Chib of Zorawar Fencing Club, Silver by Rahul Prashar of Zorawar Fencing Club, 1st Bronze by Kapish Bali of Gurukul School and 2nd Bronze by Vansh Sharma.
Under 19 Sabre boys: Gold was bagged by Ajay Singh, Silver by Akshat Sharma, 1st Bronze by Nikhil Atri and 2nd Bronze by Vikas Kumar.
Senior Sabre boys: Amit Chib bagged Gold, Hardeep Bhagat won Silver while 1st Bronze was bagged by Nikhil Atri and 2nd Bronze by Rohit Panjgotra.
Senior Foil boys: Gold was bagged by Parshant Chib, Silver by Druva Gupta, 1st Bronze by Asif Bhat and 2nd Bronze by Rohit Panjgotra.
Senior Epee boys: Rajan Prashar claimed Gold Anoop Jyoti won Silver while Hardeep Bhagat and Kamal Kumar bagged 1st and 2nd Bronze, respectively.
Under 14 Epee Girls: Gold was won by Shahida Akhter, Silver by Priyanka Devi, 1st Bronze by Meenakshi and 2nd Bronze by Saima Ali.
Under 14 Sabre girls: Gold was claimed by Shahida Akhter, Silver by Sheetal, 1st Bronze by Priyanka Devi and 2nd Bronze by Saima Ali.
Under 17 Epee Girls: Riya Manhas, Priyanka Bhagat won Gold and Silver, respectively while Arushi bagged 1st Bronze and Vanshika 2nd Bronze.
Under 17 Sabre girls: Gold was won by Simran Thakur, Silver by Shivasni Sharma, 1st Bronze by Ayushi Thakur and 2nd Bronze by Roshni.
Under 17 Foil girls: Gold was won by Vishali Bral, Silver by Arti, 1st Bronze by Sonali and 2nd Bronze by Pallavi.
Under 19 Foil Girls: Pihul Rajput secured Gold, Deepika Thakur won Silver while Anu Radha and Sonia bagged 1st and 2nd Bronze, respectively.
Under 19 Epee girls: Anu Radha bagged Gold, Archana Devi won Silver while Deepika Thakur and Pihul Rajput secured 1st and 2nd Bronze, respectively.
