Rahul Dravid interacts with players, motivates them to work hard

POONCH, Apr 3: Having achieved the sobriquet ‘The Wall’, former Test cricketer and coach, Rahul Dravid was the chief guest and Commander 93 Inf Brigade, AS Pendharkar was the guest of honour in the match of the ongoing EHSSAS T20 Cricket Tournament, being organized by EHSSAS Foundation Poonch, here.
The chief guest along with the guest of honour interacted with the players and the officials on the occasion.
In this cricketing extravaganza, a total of 102 teams, drawn from nooks and corners of the District are participating and vying for the top honours.
In the first match played today, Rufi Cricket Club defeated Lone Club by 8 wickets, while in another match, BBC Bainch got the beter of Police XI in a close contest by 7 runs and in the third match of the day, CEO Cricket Club defeated Kawaza Cricket Club by 8 wickets.
Speaking on the occasion, Dravid said it is good to see the talent and interest of the young and budding players towards the game of cricket and motivated them to work hard for succeeding at the higher levels.
“Hard work, dedication and determination is the mantra to succeed in any field and the cricketing filed as well,” Dravid said.
He said, you need proper cricket grounds, nets, cement and turf practice wickets for better preparation.
Mr Dravid appreciated the organizers for holding the event in which such a big number of teams are taking part.
The matches were officiated by Manik Shah, Vikas, Rajneesh, Asif, Arif and Davinder, while the tournament is being organized under the supervision of Parvaiz Malik, chairman EHSSAS Foundation, Pawan Kumar, Fitness Trainer BCCI, NCA & JKCA and Imran Shah.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Dr BK Sharma, Nirdosh Kumar, Bilal and Khurshid.
