AKHNOOR, July 12: Raghuvir Cricket Club defeated Bal-e-Bagh Club Akhnoor by 5 wickets in the Summer Cup T20 Under-17 Boys Cricket Tournament, being organized by Singh Cricket Club, under the supervision of Kr Sham Singh Langeh at Govt Higher Secondary School ground, here.
Winning the toss and electing to bat first, Bal-e-Bagh Cricket Club scored a paltry total of 73 runs in the stipulated 18 overs. Mohan Lal and Yuvraj contributed 15 off 10 balls and 12 off 10 balls respectively. For Raghuvir Cricket Club, Kanav and Arun shared 3 wickets each, while Kirpal and Mintu claimed 1 wicket each.
In reply, Raghuvir Cricket Club chased the target in 11 overs by losing 5 wickets, thus won the match by 5 wickets. Kirpal top scored with 22 runs off 23 balls, while Arun and Kanav contributed 14 and 10 runs to the total respectively. From Bal-e-Bagh Cricket Club, Mohan Lal took 2 wickets, while Abinandan and Aman shared 1 wicket each. Kanav was adjudged as man of the match for his all-round performance.
The match was officiated by Amit Mangotra and Deepak Mangotra as umpires, while Sahil Malhotra was the scorer.
In tomorrow’s fixture, Vishal Cricket Club will take on Raghuvir Cricket Club at the same venue.
