JAMMU, Nov 14: R M College of Education celebrated Annual Day with enthusiasm and fervour in the College Auditorium, here today.
BR Kundal, MLC, was the chief guest on the occasion, while I D Soni, State Commissioner, Bharat Scouts & Guides presided over the function and Vipin Nischal, chairman Congress Sewa Dal was the guest of honour.
The programme started with the attachment of Badges followed by lighting of traditional lamp. Chairman of the College, Rameshwar Mengi presented welcome address.
To seek the blessing of Goddess, students of the College presented Ganesh Vandana.
Students of RM College started the cultural programme by Gujarati dance, which was followed by a skit on ‘save the girl child’ was presented by the students of the College.
The annual report was read out by Principal of the College P K Dhar.
The 6th edition of the College Magazine ‘Dev Disha’ was released by the dignitaries.
Certificate and Mementos were presented to the students who excelled in various activities during the session. Cheques were also distributed among the distinguished students of the College.
While speaking on the occasion, Vipin Nischal lauded the efforts of the management and staff for conducting the programme.
I D Soni, who has always been an inspiration for the College spoke on the occasion and blessed the student on Children’s Day.
Chief guest in his address applauded the role of teachers in building the society and nation. He laid stress on the overall development of the child.
Programme was compared and conducted by senior faculty member RS Moza and BEd students Suminder Jeet Kour and Keeya Malakar.
Vote of thanks was presented by Rita Mengi, trustee of the College.
