Provide best infra to Football players: Sat Sharma

JAMMU, Apr 8: A group of young Football players led by BJP Mandal vice president Deepak Kumar met former Minister, Sat Sharma and apprised him regarding the problems being faced by them, here today.
During the interaction with the players, it was brought to the notice of the BJP leader that a ground which is allotted to the Tourism Department near Indoor Sports Complex, Puran Nagar is lying vacant and youngsters from the area want to use the ground for the purpose of playing Football.
Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma said, “If ground is lying vacant and its judicious use is must and the better utilization of the land can be done by using it for budding players of our city.”
Earlier, on the many occasions, the local youth of the said areas were spotted by consuming illegal substances which not only deteriorates their health but also destroys the career of a youth, he said, adding that with the efforts of coaches and locals, many youth have transformed themselves on the path of sports and this thing must be carried forward to keep our younger generations intact.
He appealed Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and his Administration to seriously look into the matter and provide an adequate infra for the youngsters where they can play the game and stay away from drug menace.
